Lapsus Linguæ centers around an anxious character, struggling to speak in front of an audience. As she recalls the power dynamics that form her daily engagements, she gradually transitions from discomfort to a compulsive and psychotic state of excessive “wordiness”. In an attempt to explain what’s happening inside her mouth and its relationship with her mind, she supposedly casts her symptoms through the use of oversized chewing-gums.
