Auriane Preud’homme ** I am a visual artist who lives in Pantin (FR). I work across performance, sculpture, video, and writing, with a particular focus on popular and vernacular cultures. My practice draws from multiple narratives — premodern historical, media-based, or contemporary — often transmitted through oral sources, which I see as dissident voices meant to be told, extended, fictionalised, or popularised. Recently, my projects have delved into gossip, reality television, intentional communities, slang, and other constructed languages.

Since 2019, I am co-developing the editorial and graphic design of Phylactère (in collaboration with Roxanne Maillet and Camille Videcoq, published by Immixtion Books), which explores the relationship between performance and its publication.

I am also teaching in several art/design schools and universities.

Text written about my practice:
Les mots crachés se tiennent debout, by Fatma Cheffi, 2025
Burning World, Subterranean Friendships, by Nathanaëlle Puaud, 2025
Worked Shoot, by Camille Martin, 2025
